What is your role and what are your responsibilities at Scientechnic?
I am the Assistant Manager of Information Technology and Infrastructure Support. My primary responsibility is to provide effective and economical resources and solutions to the company without compromising on day-to-day business requirements.
As an IT professional, can you give us a quick rundown of a regular day at work for you at Scientechnic?
I start my days early, the first task is always checking our servers, network and all IT resources. Once that is out of the way, I schedule time to review all existing issues, evaluate requirements and requests, and then finally go over the areas that come under my purview to evaluate if any proactive solutions are required
What do you find most interesting about your job?
My job profile is very diverse, this keeps things interesting. This role allows me to grow technically and professionally, while also enhancing my inter-personal skills.
What is the one recent accomplishment you are most proud of and why?
A few months back, we shifted all Scientechnic staff to a new temporary office. This move was executed in a smooth manner, within the set timeline by using existing resources. This successful move without any downtime was a big achievement for me and my team.
Your role involves ensuring that the company stays technologically relevant, how do you ensure this and are there any new technologies that are being introduced?
Scientechnic has always used leading industry relevant technologies and resources in Information Technology. We are currently in the process of configuring live back-ups for all workstations irrespective of geographical areas.
What do you like to do in your spare time? Any interests or hobbies that you would like to share?
I have always maintained a balanced and healthy lifestyle – both professionally and personally. Daily yoga and regular walking helps me stay disciplined and go through all of life’s challenges with a clear mind.
