Al Amal Psychiatric Complex opened its doors to the public on 12 November, 2016. It is the only government hospital dedicated to psychiatric and addiction treatment in Dubai.

Scientechnic have supplied, commissioned and installed fire alarm and voice evacuation systems for the hospital complex project. The yearly maintenance of the systems will also be handled by Scientechnic in order to assure the safety of life and property for the health care institution.

A total of 21 fire alarms and voice evacuation panels along with over 10,000 addressable points have been installed. The graphical software commissioned in the central control room of the hospital complex provides one point monitoring and control of the entire fire alarms and voice evacuation systems installed.

In addition to the optical smoke detectors and heat detectors, beam detectors were also installed in areas with high ceilings in order to ensure detection in all areas.

The new 276-bed facility is unique in its design and approach. The complex is open to adults and adolescents seeking help with psychiatric and/or drug and alcohol rehabilitation, both inpatient and outpatient.

The space is surrounded by dense vegetation that separates every section of the complex. The main three story building is complemented by a mosque, auditorium, gymnasiums, housing for staff and a half-way house for patients.
