An initiative aimed to celebrate the principles, values and beliefs of the country’s foundation, the Dubai Cares Scavenger Hunt is a celebration to the life and legacy of the late Sheikh Zayed.
The hunt which will run from 8 to 29 January, will see residents getting the opportunity to explore the city and rediscover the values of the people that call Dubai home.
Under the patronage of Her Highness Sheikha Latifa bint Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice Chairman of the Board of Directors Office at Dubai Culture & Art Authority, Dubai Cares and Dubai Culture have installed art pieces inspired by the values instilled by the late Sheikh Zayed bin Sultan Al Nahyan in the citizens and residents. 15 key locations in the city are now home to art pieces designed by talented artists and designers from the UAE.
How to participate:
Residents that wish to join the hunt need to download the ‘Dubai Cares’ application on their mobile phones, they can then access the 15 different challenges and attempt to solve each with the help of 3 unique hints.
Once the location is identified, participants should scan a QR code through the application, which has been placed on the structure itself. Upon scanning the QR Code, the challenge will be unlocked and the participant will be rewarded with one point before moving on to the next challenge.
What you can win:
From volunteering abroad with Dubai Cares and annual day passes for Dubai Parks and Resorts to hotel stays, malls vouchers and spa treatments, the top three winners are set to receive an assortment of prizes.
Each of the 15 art pieces have been placed in a light bulb and have been inspired by the following themes: Ambition, Commitment, Courage, Creativity, Giving, Gratitude, Happiness, Innovation, Kindness, Leadership, Opportunity, Tolerance, Peace, Resilience and Trust.
As one of the sponsors, Scientechnic have chosen the bulb of ‘Opportunity’ designed by artist and sculptor, Ananthu Dileep. The design represent visionaries, thought leaders and creative people who dare to think outside the box and refuse to limit themselves to the norm.
