    Fire and voice alarm systems

Established in Oct 2004, NMC Specialty Hospital, located in Al Nahda, Dubai is a multispecialty hospital providing quality and trusted healthcare services to the people of Dubai and the Northern Emirates. The hospital operates a well-equipped laboratory offering extensive investigative facilities supported by a centralised computerised system. The Building Technology division of Scientechnic was entrusted with the supply, testing and commissioning of Fire and Voice Alarm Systems for the extension building, located in the plot opposite the existing NMC specialty hospital. The extension building includes the ICU, operation theatre, 160 patient beds, parking facilities and associated facilities. The sizeable building which includes two basements, a ground floor and six floors, is protected with an Integrated Fire Detection and Voice Alarm system from Siemens.

Over 450 detection devices and 125 speakers, spread across the building are controlled by the panel placed in the Control Room, from which Live Emergency Paging is possible. The repeater panel placed at the main entrance makes the status of the panel readily accessible. The Emergency Exit Staircases are provided with a monitored two way Emergency Communication Fire Telephone System. The system is Centrally Monitored from the Siemens Danger Management Software. The Central Battery Panel from RP Technik, provides 3 hours autonomy for the Emergency Lighting System. Elegant looking emergency and exit lights blend well with the elite interiors of the hospital.
